Muscletech Hydroxycut Hardcore is marketed as a thermogenic and energy boosting supplement for fat loss. The product comes in pill form and a powder called Ignition Stix that can be mixed in liquid.
Muscletech claims that in a double blind placebo-controlled study, Hydroxycut Hardcore increased metabolism (as measured by norepinephrine levels in the urine) over 40% as compared to placebo.
In another 12 week study by the manufacturer, subjects taking Hydroxycut Hardcore lost 7.9% more bodyfat than the control group.
Hydroxycut Hardcore does not contain ephedra, but instead uses three proprietory blends of herbs that are intended to increase fat loss, stimulate the CNS and enhance delivery to the body.

As a dietary supplement, take 3 capsules with an 8-oz. glass of water 2 times daily, approximately 30 to 60 minutes before meals. On days of your workout, take 1 of these servings before the workout. Consume ten 8-oz. glasses of water per day. Read the entire label before use and follow directions. Do not exceed 3 capsules in a 4-hour period and/or 6 capsules in a 24-hour period.
